Objective value: the tax basis is not the market price.
Greek objective property values form part of an official administrative valuation framework used for certain taxation and related purposes. They are a different measurement from asking prices, historical transfers or a certified appraisal.
What objective value means.
The government uses prescribed valuation parameters and location-specific rules to establish an objective value for applicable administrative purposes. The amount can differ materially from negotiated market prices.
Where it can affect a buyer.
Objective value may be relevant when calculating the applicable tax base or considering other official property obligations. A lawyer, notary or tax adviser should confirm the current rule for the exact transaction.
Why it is not an asking-price benchmark.
An objective value is not an offer from a buyer, a current property listing or direct proof of a completed sale.
Comparing an asking price mechanically to objective value does not by itself show a discount or overpricing.
How it appears in our research.
Where identifiable and relevant, the objective-value context is explicitly labelled as tax and administrative information, not market value or appraisal.
